CECILE DETIENNE

As a child, I spent all my time with my grandmother in the garden and the vegetable patch. The nasturtium was a flower that grew in abundance, and I was intrigued by by its shape and its bright colors.

Choosing this name helps me to recall these sweet childhood memories, and the person who helped me discover the harmony of colors, and the varieties and perfumes of flowers.

Always attracted by plants, I studied garden and landscape architecture in a school in Belgium. After 10 years as a project manager, I had the opportunity to leave my country of Belgium for Alsace, and I determined to make a fresh start and transform my life completely, without any regrets.

I went back to college to get my diploma as a florist, then worked in different shops and trained with designer florists. Encouraged by these professionals, I decided to risk everything to open my own floral studio in 2011.
Capucine is a workshop for floral arrangements, and above all a place of communication, creation, inspiration and passion.

Having concentrated mainly on wedding preparations, I am now broadening my activities, and I am also offering training sessions for professionals. I encourage eco-responsibility through the choice of flowers, the composition of floral arrangements, and the suppliers I work with. It gives me joy to help you create beautiful life-long memories as you celebrate your special day!
